Activities
All assistant students enrolled as present can join HSOY. As a member you support and guarantee that the voice of assistant students is heard when decisions concerning them are made in HAAGA-HELIA. In addition, a member gets financial benefits – for example, tickets to events at reduced prices.
The backbone in the association activities is the constitution of the association, which you can ask for yourself from the HSOY Office. It is also presented on these web pages.
Membership
The membership of HSOY is free of charge to all assistant students. As a member you are entitled to the out-of-school activities provided by the student association. HSOY arranges parties and events, represents students at HAAGA-HELIA and outside of it. It also arranges sports opportunities, which are missing from the curriculum of assistants students. As a member you can interact on the events and other activities of HSOY.
It is easy to join the activities. HSOY arranges yearly meetings provided by the constitution of the association. These meetings are called the spring and autumn meetings. They are open for all of the HSOY members. In these meetings, the board of the association is chosen. The board runs the everyday businesses of the association. A member can stand as a candidate in the election in the spring and autumn meetings. A student can also be a so-called active member without being part of the board.
